Academics

In the Sigma Sigma Sigma’s Gamma Pi Chapter, academics are one area of many in which we aim to succeed. Currently, our sisters work very hard to obtain a cumulative grade point average of 3.319, which is higher than the cumulative sorority grade point average of 3.225. As a chapter, we are so grateful for the academic experience that Nicholls State University has provided and look to each other for motivation.

The general academic goal for Tri Sigma is to meet our sisters where they are academically in order for them to succeed individually. Based on one’s GPA, our sisters are given the opportunity to complete a certain amount of recorded study hours. However, there is a tremendous amount of effort and devotion that our sisters give to their academics that is not recorded. Tri Sigma also gives everyone the opportunity to meet and study with sisters who are in the same classes and/or major. Overall, Tri Sigma strives to meet and often exceeds its own academic standards because each of our sisters are instilled with our values and see the true importance of investing in our education. -Kati Gremillion, Education Director
